LAURA BENANTI IN CONCERT – A BENEFIT FOR CHICAGO THEATRE WORKSHOP

One of Broadways most acclaimed leading ladies, Tony Award-winner and five-time Tony Award-nominee, Laura Benanti, recently completed her 2016 Tony-nominated role as Amalia Balash in the hit Broadway musical, She Loves Me. Laura Benanti earned a 2008 Tony Award for her portrayal of Gypsy Rose Lee in Gypsy opposite Patti LuPone. The actress’ other Tony Award nominations were for starring roles in Swing, Into The Woods, and Women On The Verge of a Nervous Breakdown.

On television, Laura Benanti can currently be seen in the role of Alura Zor-El in the CW action drama, Supergirl. She won critical acclaim for her performance as Elsa Schrader in NBC’s The Sound Of Music LIVE. Her other recurring television roles have been on ABC’s Nashville, CBS’s The Good Wife, HBO’s Nurse Jackie, and as a dead-ringer for FLOTUS, Melania Trump, on CBS’s The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.
